YOUNGSTOWN
The city of Youngstown has received a $100,000 “Our Town” grant from the National Endowment for the Arts to put up public art at gateways to the city and downtown as part of a branding effort for Youngstown, said Michael McGiffin, director of downtown events and citywide special projects.
It’s a matching grant with the city receiving commitments for all but about $20,000 of its share from organizations, he said.
The city will seek artists in a few months interested in participating in the project, McGiffin said.
