CRAFT SHOWS

• St. Jude Church, 180 Seventh St., Columbiana, is seeking vendors for its annual craft show planned for Nov. 19 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in its activity center. Call Mary Burkey, parish secretary, at the church, 330-482-2351. There will be a basket auction, bake sale, prize raffle and lunch counter including vegetable soup.

FESTIVALS

• Poland Presbyterian Church, 2 Poland Manor, will sponsor a strawberry festival from 5 to 8:30 p.m. June 24 on the church front lawn, rain or shine, as part of Celebrate Poland festivities. Strawberry shortcake, ice cream, homemade cakes, hot dogs and Italian sausage sandwiches with chips and pickles, and beverages will be sold. There will be free face painting provided by the church’s preschool, live jazz, a 50-50 drawing and basket raffle. Proceeds will benefit the church’s youth programs and various events and activities sponsored by the parish life committee.

FUNDRAISERS

• Avalon Lakes Golf and Country Club, One American Way, Warren, will be the location of the annual Pink Ribbon Golf Classic on July 18. The cost is $110 per golfer. Registration and a continental breakfast begin at 8 a.m. with the shotgun start at 9. The 18-hole four-person scramble will be followed by lunch, a basket auction and raffle. RAFFLES

• West Side Cats, 2217 Mahoning Ave., Youngstown, will host a Father’s Day raffle and drawing June 18. It will feature a 48-inch Insignia LED TV. Proceeds will be used for the spay/neuter program at West Side Cats. Tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5 and are available through any volunteer or at the shelter. For information call 330-792-4228.

• Helping Hands Closet at Western Reserve United Methodist Church, 4580 Canfield Road, Canfield, has new and gently used clothes for the entire family. The May special is 50 percent off the entire inventory. Hours are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday.

• Lake Milton Presbyterian Church, 942 Grandview Road, is having a flea market and bake sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 11. Space is available for free for anyone who would like to set up, but no food or baked items permitted. Call Charlotte at 330-654-3396 for questions.

• Poland Lions Club is sponsoring a Treasures of the Trunk Sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 11 at Poland High School Stadium parking lot, 3199 Dobbins Road. • Pythian Sisters rummage and bake sale will be offered from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m to noon Saturday at the K. of P. Hall, 123 College St., West Farmington. Books, clothing and household items will be for sale. Lunch will served on Friday, and Saturday is a $2 bag day.

• Salem Public Library is preparing for used book sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 18 at St. Paul School gymnasium, 925 E. State St. There will be books for adults and children, DVDs, VHS, CDs and more. The sale is sponsored by the Salem Public Library Memorial Fund Association. • Trips Ahoy, a nonprofit organization that assists those who are developmentally disabled, will sponsor a rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 28 and 29 and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 30 at It’s All Fine consignment and gift shop, 3581 Youngstown-Warren Road, Warren. TRIPS

• Jesus the Key Ministries and Men of Faith, the producers of Rally in the Valley, will host a bus trip to Lancaster, Pa., to see the show “Samson” at the Sight and Sound Theater and “Crooners” at the American Music Theatre on July 12 and 13. On Dec. 6 and 7 a trip will include “Samson,” a Christmas concert at American Music Theatre and a meal at the dinner theater, the Dutch Apple. • Our Lady of Fatima, St. Ann Church, 601 Roemer Blvd., Farrell, Pa., will sponsor bus trips as a fundraiser for repairs of its church organ. A trip to Seneca Allegany Casino in Salamanca, N.Y., is set for June 14 and 15. Lodging in the casino’s hotel is $155 per person for double occupancy with $70 in bonus rebates. A bus trip to Soaring Eagle Casino Resort in Mount Pleasant, Mich., is planned for Sept. 13 to 15. Hotel rooms will be $304 per person for double occupancy with a $100 bonus. • Second Baptist Church, 820 E. Patterson St., Alliance, will host a bus trip from Aug. 2 to 4. Cost will be $330 per person and will include a motorcoach, lodging for two nights, four meals, “Samson” at the Sight & Sound Millennium Theatre, “Crooners” at the American Music Theatre, Kitchen Kettle Village, Rockvale Square Outlets and a guided tour of Lancaster.
