Mercer County authorities arrest 4 at weekend DUI checkpoint

SHARON, PA. — Pennsylvania State and Sharon police and Mercer County sheriff and Department of Public Safety arrested four people accused of driving under the influence at a DUI checkpoint between Friday night and Saturday morning.

The checkpoint was in the 100 block of Dock Street. Authorities made contact with 111 motorists. Besides the four DUI arrests, officers issued seven seat-belt, 10 speeding, three driving under suspension and eight other citations, made five arrests for drug-related offenses and issued 45 warnings.
