Palmas 50th observed with surprise trip

The children of Matthew and Madlyn Palma of Boardman honored their parents with a surprise luxury vacation to the Bellagio Resort Hotel in Las Vegas for their 50th wedding anniversary.

Mr. Palma married the former Madlyn Murphy on May 28, 1966, at St. Christine Church, Youngstown.

Their children are Jillene Palma of Orange County, Calif., and Mark Palma of Concord, Ohio. They also have two grandchildren.

The couple are members of St. Charles Church.

Mrs. Palma retired from Metropolitan Bank in Youngstown, where she worked as a branch manager.

Her husband retired as a buyer from Stop & Shop Grocery stores in Cleveland. He is a U.S. Army veteran and served in Korea.
