John and Christine Burlock of Boardman are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Nicole Burlock, and Timothy Spencer, both of Austintown. His parents are Larry and Rosanne Spencer of Austintown.

The couple are planning a 1:30 p.m. open ceremony July 9 at Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Youngstown. Invitations will be extended for an evening reception at A La Cart Catering in Canfield.

The bride-to-be earned a bachelor’s degree in education from Youngstown State University, and is a kindergarten teacher for Warren City Schools.

The prospective groom graduated from YSU with a bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting and finance, and a master’s degree in business administration. He is a certified public accountant and supervisor in tax services for BCG & Co., Akron. He is studying for a master’s degree in taxation at the University of Akron.
