Sessions at Valley churches

Lists of vacation Bible schools open to the public will be published on the Religion page. Please include the following information: the complete name of the church; address with city or township; time, date and location of sessions; program theme; ages or grades; and whether it’s free or there is a fee. Information should be submitted two weeks before the school’s opening or its registration deadline. The Religion deadline is 5 p.m. Wednesday for publication that Saturday. Send the information to the Religion Desk by email to religion@vindy.com; by fax to 330-747-6712 and marked for religion desk; or by mail to The Vindicator, P.O. Box 780, Youngstown, OH, 44501-0780. For verification, include a name and phone number of a contact person, which will not be published.

Gospel Baptist Church, 6235 Clingan Road, Poland: “Overboard: God’s Ocean Full of Mercy” is the theme of the program planned from 5:30 to 8 p.m. June 13-17. Children can register when they arrive. For information, call the church at 330-757-0736. Children will learn lessons in mercy on the high seas, as the Captain, First Mate and Swabbie encounter a stowaway. Salty the Parrot helps teach Bible verses.

St. Columba Cathedral Hall, 144 W. Rayen Ave., Youngstown: “Downtown Missions Children’s Art Camp,” from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 28-30. Children age 6 to 11 can take part in this educational and fun three-day camp filled with art, music and religious activities. Children will be provided with a morning snack and lunch at no charge. A field trip is planned to the Butler Institute of American Art. The camp will conclude with a children’s art show in the parish hall. Participation is limited to 25. Reservations are required.
