The wedding of Jaclyn Sarah Elias of Canfield and Thomas Julian Senich of Hubbard took place June 27, 2015, at St. John Greek Orthodox Church. The Rev. Nicholas Halkias, the bride’s spiritual father, and the Rev. Tom Constantine, parish priest, officiated for the 2 p.m. ceremony. A reception followed at St. Lucy’s Palermo Banquet Center in Campbell.
The bride’s parents are David and Estee Elias of Canfield, and the groom is the son of Joli Luteran of Hubbard.
After a wedding trip to Montego Bay, Jamaica, the couple reside in McDonald.
Mrs. Senich graduated summa cum laude from Youngstown State University with a bachelor’s degree in middle-childhood education. She also received her master’s degree in English from YSU. She is employed as an eighth-grade teacher at Austintown Middle School.
Her husband also graduated from YSU with a bachelor’s degree in secondary education. He is a social-studies teacher at McDonald High School.
The bride wore a white, strapless, tulle ball gown with a sweetheart neckline, adorned with jeweled beading at the waist. It was completed with a flowing train.
Sisters of the bride, Alexis Elias-Spohn and Dana Patrick, were honor attendants. Bridesmaids were Ashley Senich, sister of the groom; Katelin Marshall; Carol Ann Pitcairn; and Louise Campbell. A niece of the bride, Alena Rosado was junior bridesmaid. The flower girl was Caitlin Guy. The attendants wore turquoise street-length dresses.
Michael O’Neill performed the duties of best man. Groomsmen were John Bayuk, David Marshall, Michael Carnahan and Brad Homer. The bride’s nephew, Landon Spohn, was ring bearer.
Koumbari were Katherine Murdock and the bride’s sister, Melissa Elias-Flores. Other participants were Dayna Revetti; Alexis Paidas, cousin of the bride; and Jessica Forrester, cousin of the groom.
