Lauren Rider, Keith Karas to wed Aug. 19

Jack and Jeanne Rider of Boardman are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Lauren Rider of Boardman, and Keith Karas of Struthers.

His parents are Dan and Toni Karas of Struthers.

Invitations will be extended for the wedding ceremony at 1:30 p.m. Aug. 19 at St. James Meeting House, and for an evening reception at The Georgetown.

The couple are graduates of Youngstown State University. Miss Rider earned a degree in special education and a master’s degree in counseling at Westminster College. She is a sixth-grade intervention specialist at Boardman Schools. Mr. Karas earned a degree in engineering and works as an electrical controls engineer for Midlands Millroom Supply in Canton.
