ASSOCIATIONS

American Association of University Women, Youngstown Branch, will meet at 11:30 a.m. June 4 at the home of Clydine Watson Dickey. Mill Creek Chapter of American Business Women’s Association will meet June 14 at A La Cart Catering in Canfield beginning with networking at 6 p.m. and dinner at 6:30. Warren Women’s Connection, an affiliate of Stonecroft Ministries, invites all women, including high school and college students, to attend its June 13 luncheon at DiLucia’s Banquet Center, 2610 Elm Road NE, Warren. It takes place from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Reservations are required for the luncheon. Items will be available for purchase at a garage sale before the luncheon. Deb Wells of Mason, Ohio, a client-services director in a financial planning business, will share her story, “Dreams Can Come True.” Dorothy Phillips will be the vocalist, and Lori Nestor from Omnitrition will talk about nutritional products. SUPPORT GROUPS

NAMI Mahoning Valley will offer support groups for those who deal with mental illness. Family support groups, providing information for family members and friends of individuals with mental illness, will be offered the first Thursday of each month in Trumbull County at 11 a.m. at the Girard Library, 105 E. Prospect St., and on the second Tuesday of each month in Mahoning County at 7 p.m. at the D & E Counseling Center, 142 Javit Court, Austintown. The Connection support group aims to connect individuals who live with mental illness in a structured discussion format. It is limited to adults living with a mental health diagnosis in order to promote self-disclosure in a safe, confidential environment. It is free and open to anyone with a mental health diagnosis. They meet for a day session at 1:30 p.m. each Thursday at the Community Center, 1344 Fifth Ave., Youngstown, and in the evenings at 6 p.m. on the second and fourth Thursday of each month at the D & E Center. RTS Bereavement Services Parent Support Program at Northside Medical Center, 500 Gypsy Lane, Youngstown, is for families who are grieving the loss of their baby through miscarriage, stillbirth or newborn death. R-Weigh Weight Support Groups meet on Mondays at First Friends Church, 1028 Jennings Ave., Salem. Afternoon weigh-in is from 1 to 1:30 p.m., and the meeting will follow at 1:45.
