Urban Farm Plant Sale

When: Saturdays through June 25 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

What: Plants are for sale individually or mix and match as a “garden in a flat.” A variety of veggies, herbs, flowers, blueberry bushes and strawberry hanging baskets.

EXPLORERS

When: Today, 10 to 11:30 a.m.

What: The Explorers will learn about the origins, importance and process of bird banding. Live birds will be banded and released as part of the program, weather permitting. Banding is the regulated and permitted process of safely capturing, marking and releasing a wild bird as part of a continentwide effort to study individual birds and bird populations.

Where: Huston-Brumbaugh Nature Center Visitors Center, 16146 Daniel St. NE, Minerva.

Cost: Free

Details: Participants must be age 7 to 11. Registration is limited and required.
