Warren police investigating early morning shooting

WARREN — Police are investigating after a 37-year-old man was found shot in the leg about 12:10 a.m. today in the parking lot of a Lodwick Avenue apartment complex.

Reports said the man told police he did not know what happened and was hesitant to give any information. Reports said three women who were outside at the time told police they heard gunshots but did not see anything. The women said they were having a party in their apartment.

Witnesses told police there was a fight at the party the three women were having, and the victim was one of those involved in the fight, reports said. After the gunfire, three men and a woman ran away, reports said.

The victim is being treated at ValleyCare Trumbull Memorial Hospital.
