South Side man cited for rat haven

YOUNGSTOWN — A Powers Way man was issued a citation Monday for rats on his property.

John Trollo, 34, was cited for harboring rodents after Community Police Unit officers Jose Morales Jr. and Phil Skowron were at his home in the 3300 block of Powers Way at about 1:05 p.m.

Reports said the outside of the home is a mess and is a haven for rats. Trolio told police he has been trying to get rid of the rats but has not been successful.
