A guide to what’s changing in The Vindicator
Beginning this week, we are reorganizing and re-imagining some pages and features in The Vindicator.
Weather is moving to the front of the newspaper, Page A2. “Years Ago,” our look back on history, is moving to a new page inside our Valley Life section. “Years Ago” still will be on the opinion pages Sundays.
Our newly updated Valley Life section Monday through Saturday now will offer the best in local entertainment, health, food, technology, gaming, music and much more. Also included in the section is Society news, and our brand-new page – Et Cetera – which includes many popular features on one page – Years Ago, Horoscope, Jumble, Sudoku, the daily TV grid, the daily crossword and Oddly Enough.
Improvements to this page include new larger, easier-to-read typefaces on crossword puzzle clues, the horoscope and TV grid.
The Classified ads are moving to the B section, right behind Sports. The Bridge column now will appear daily in the Classifieds section.
On Sunday, we will deliver our Sunday BEST: Our Business, Entertainment, Society and Travel news will be packaged in a new section called B.E.S.T. As the name implies, it will offer the best news and information in one handy section.
The MiniPage will move from Saturday to its new home in the Sunday comics, with a goal of reaching more kids.
Also, instead of having education news only in Monday’s paper, we now will offer that news throughout the week in a more-timely fashion.
The Sunday Home & Design content is moving to VindyHomes, our Sunday real-estate and homes guide, which offers you everything home-related in one section.
We also recently updated our weekly Thursday entertainment guide with a new name – Valley 24 – and a sister website, Valley24.com. Valley 24 gives you all the entertainment information you need to plan for the week – and especially the weekend.
We hope you like the improvements. If you have feedback, call us at 330-747-1471, ext. 1700, or write to us at email@example.com.
