Suburban Propane, 2705 state Route 7, is hosting its annual customer appreciation day from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday.

During the event, Suburban Propane is offering a 20-pound grill tank fill-up for $10 for anyone making a $2 donation to Second Harvest Food Bank of the Mahoning Valley.

For every $1 given, the food bank can distribute $11 worth of food to hungry people in Columbiana, Mahoning and Trumbull counties. Second Harvest Food Bank of the Mahoning Valley, a member of Feeding America, provides food to those in need in the tri-county area through 148 programs provided by hunger-relief organizations.

Track and field event

WARREN

The Alliance for Substance Abuse will have its 2016 track meet and field day for children and youths age 4 to 18 on July 9 at the track and field complex at Warren G. Harding High School, 860 Elm Road NE.

The meet includes family friendly activities and education to promote a healthy, drug-free lifestyle.

Registration is $10 per child. Scholarships are available. Each child will receive a free back pack. T-shirts are guaranteed for all who pre-register by June 27.

Community Watch

Lincoln Knolls Community Watch will meet 5:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the East Branch Library, 430 Early Road.

Veterans from the Lincoln Knolls area are urged to attend the Tuesday meeting or call 330-565-2906 from 5 to 7 p.m. to register for an upcoming event that will honor active, retired and deceased veterans from Lincoln Knolls.
