City police probe after shots fired near party van

YOUNGSTOWN — Police reports said several shots were fired about 4:45 a.m. today on Interstate 680 south near Meridian Road after an argument on a party bus.

Reports said officers were called after a truck driver saw a man walking on the side of the freeway firing a gun.

Police found a man with an empty holster but he has a concealed weapon permit, reports said. In the van another man had a gun but he also has a permit. A gun was also found in the back of the van, reports said.

Reports said the driver of the bus told police he pulled the bus over after an argument inside began and as he walked away he heard six to eight shots.

Police are still investigating. No arrests have been made.
