Villa Maria plans run/walk June 4

VILLA MARIA, PA.

Villa Maria Education and Spirituality Center will sponsor its seventh annual 5K run and two-mile walk June 4. Registration starts at 7:30 a.m. and the events at 9.

Prizes will be awarded for runners in all age groups and overall. Other activities will include a 50-yard dash for children and a drumming circle open to all.

Villa Farm has flowers and garden plants for sale, and guests also are invited to visit the Villa Shoppe.

Proceeds will benefit children and youth programs such as GROW Teen Camp for 11- to 16-year-olds, which teaches outdoor survival skills, and GROW Camp for 5- to 12-year-olds, which gives young children the opportunity to create a garden and participate in other nature activities.
