Niles S.C.O.P.E. Senior Center, 14 E. State St., offers a $3 lunch each Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and bingo follows from 1 to 2:30. Bingo cards are 25 cents each. Zumba Gold, a version of the exercise dance class designed for older adults, will be offered at 1:15 p.m. every Thursday. Instructor is Will Mowell. Each class is $1 and is supported by the Trumbull County Senior Levy Services. Classes for laptop or iPad assistance are offered 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday and Friday, and the cost per day is $2. The Social Outreach program of S.C.O.P.E. of Trumbull County offers support and connects senior citizens to affordable resources for chores, personal care, transportation, financial issues, finding housing and more. David Raach, S.C.O.P.E.’s Social Services Outreach director, will provide a program from 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesday. Appointments are recommended but walk-ins will be accepted. There also will be a lunch and learn event 12:30 p.m. June 7 presented by Young Living Essential Oils. Participants will make a chemical-free bug spray to take home. A free lunch will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in conjunction with the event. A Zumba Sentao class is planned at 2 p.m. each Tuesday starting June 7. Karen Elder will instruct.
