Senior center offers free diabetes workshop

YOUNGSTOWN

Senior Independence Senior Center, 1110 Fifth Ave., will offer a six-week diabetes workshop, titled Everyone with Diabetes Counts, from 1 to 3 p.m. Mondays from June 6 through July 18.

The free educational workshops will encourage small lifestyle changes, offer information about the disease and its health effects, and provide management tips. The program is appropriate for those with diabetes or pre-diabetes, those 60 years old and above or those on Medicare or Medicaid. Seating is limited. Register by calling 330-744-5071.
