Traffic stop yields drug charges in Liberty

LIBERTY — Police arrested two men this morning on drug charges.

Police stopped a vehicle near Motel 30 on Motor Inn Drive for lack of rear plate illumination and a license plate that did not match the registration, according to reports.

Police searched the vehicle and found a bag of suspected crack cocaine and a suspected burnt crack pipe, reports said.

The driver, Mark Kaczmark, 21, of Girard, was charged with possession of cocaine, possession drug paraphernalia and unauthorized use of license plates.

The report states police also found a metal "push rod" – a cylindric object used to push drug residue to end of the pipe to gain one more hit – in the pocket of passenger Eric Lipscomb, 23, of Girard. He is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

The report states Kaczmark and Lipscomb admitted to using crack cocaine.

Two other passengers in the vehicle were not charged.
