While investigating the stabbing of a taxi driver late Monday, another driver told police Wednesday he was robbed last week but did not report it.

Reports said a driver who was interviewed as part of the investigation told police he was robbed on May 8 and 14.

The 28-year-old driver told detectives he picked up a man and a woman about 11:45 p.m. May 14 in the 200 block of West Lucius Avenue on the South Side, and they asked him to take them to Taft Avenue. The driver said he was told to stop on West Philadelphia Avenue and when there, the man put a gun to his head and the woman put a knife against his stomach.

The driver said he struggled with the gunman before they managed to get away with $60.

About 10:50 p.m. May 8, the driver told investigators he picked up a woman on South Dunlap Avenue on the West Side and drove her to Rush Boulevard on the South Side. When he pulled up to the address, there were two other women there. One of those women pulled a knife and demanded money, and the driver then drove away and the woman left the cab.

Reports list two different women as suspects in both incidents.

Another driver was stabbed in the stomach about 11:10 p.m. Monday on Gibson Street on the South Side and treated at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital. That driver told police there were two men and a woman, one of the men with a gun and the woman had a knife.
