Ikebana to exhibit Japanese designs

Members of Ikebana Youngstown will exhibit Japanese flower designs at their annual flower show June 4 and 5 at the Davis Center in Fellows Riverside Gardens at Mill Creek Park.

Featured will be arrangements from the Ichiyo School of Ikebana. Each member who participates will present two designs. Public viewing is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 4 and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 5.

Ikebana Youngstown was founded in 1963 and is a member of the Garden Forum of Greater Youngstown Area Inc. Shirley Winkler of Saxonburg, Pa., a master Japanese instructor of the Ichiyo School, is the instructor for the group, which meets the second Tuesday of most months.
