The grand jury also indicted Abdul Fareed, 56, East Auburndale Avenue, on felonious assault with a firearm specification.

Reports say Fareed was arrested about 5:55 p.m. on Apr 10. at a Boardman apartment building after his son was shot in the leg at a home earlier in the day in the 3000 block of McGuffey Road.

The victim was arguing with Fareed because Fareed yelled at the victim’s 3-year-old brother. Reports said the victim was in the driveway and walked toward Fareed, who pulled a pistol from his vehicle as a third person tried to push the victim out of the way.
