Art studio offers summer classes

Daydreamers Art Studio, 127 Penn Ave., will present summer art classes for children and teens from June 14 to mid-August. No experience or special skills are required. Classes will teach painting, sculpture, drawing, collage and more, and are taught in a studio environment by an experienced instructor with a master’s degree in art education. SMARTSfest will celebrate the arts

SMARTSfest, a community celebration supporting art education for children, will be Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in and around the Ohio One Building on the corner of East Boardman and Commerce streets downtown. It will include music, dance, visual arts, street painting and hands-on activities. SMARTS (Students Motivated by the Arts) offers classes in visual arts, music, dance, theater and creative writing.
