Celebrate Life

Celebrate Life

PHILADELPHIA

On Friday, Struthers resident Terrie Mamounis returns to Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Philadelphia to celebrate a milestone in her cancer journey, five years of cancer survivorship, an occasion deemed “Celebrate Life” by CTCA.

Celebrate Life, which this year coincides with CTCA in Philadelphia’s 10-year anniversary, is an annual, two-day event dedicated to commemorating five-year cancer survivors for their courage and ability to serve as beacons of hope to others who are battling the disease.

During this year’s celebration, Mamounis will join 183 other five-year survivors, as well as patients and their loved ones, to partake in emblematic events, including: a tree-planting ceremony; a dove release, and a yellow rose exchange, whereby patients select and recognize CTCA caretakers with whom they formed especially meaningful bonds.
