UPDATE | Trooper injured in Springfield Township crash
NEW SPRINGFIELD — An Ohio State Highway Patrol Trooper is being treated at St. Elizabeth Hospital for non-life threatening injuries after another vehicle struck his patrol car.
Keith McColpin, 48, of Imperial, Pa., was driving westbound on the Ohio Turnpike about 12:20 p.m. today when he struck the rear end of a patrol car driven by Tony Stephens, 50, of the Hiram OSHP post, according to a patrol news release.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts, the patrol said. McColpin sustained no reported injuries. The crash remains under investigation.
