Struthers students receive awards at YSU Press Day

STRUTHERS — These Struthers High School students and teacher Stephanie Muntean attended the Youngstown State University Press Day awards ceremony on May 10 and received awards in these categories:

• Andrew Brabant: 2nd place for Sports News

• Nancy Savko: 2nd place for Opinion​

• Gianna Gentile: 3rd place for Review

• Jay Levonyak: 3rd place for Sports Feature

• Jaret Jacubec: Honorable Mention for Front Page Design/Layout

• Jaime King: Honorable Mention for Feature

YSU Press Day is designed to help high school students in the tri-county area improve their journalism skills on school newspapers, broadcasts and yearbooks.
