‘Steps of Change’ event is Saturday in Youngstown

YOUNGSTOWN
First Unitarian Universalist Church of Youngstown, 1105 Elm St., in conjunction with OhioCAN, will host “Steps of Change: Walk a Mile in My Shoes” event from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday.
The keynote speaker will be Joseph M. Pinjuh, an assistant U.S. attorney.
Other speakers include Magistrate Anthony M. D’Apolito of juvenile drug court; Amy Klumpp, coordinator/navigator of adult drug court; Eric Ungaro and Samantha Hird of the Family Voice; Michelle Wolf of the Voice of Recovery; and Hope Lovrinoff-Moran.
The event will feature resource tables, children’s activities, a basket auction, 50/50 raffle, food for sale to support OhioCAN and musical entertainment.
OhioCAN’s goal is to bring together those who are determined to help remove the stigma and prejudice of substance-use disorder, according to its Facebook page.
Participants are asked to bring a pair of shoes to represent a loved one or a pair will be provided.
