SENIOR CITIZENS
• AARP 4611 East will meet Wednesday at Centenary United Methodist Church, 1413 Belmont Ave., Youngstown. The executive board will meet at 11 a.m. and the regular meeting at noon. There will be a memorial service for deceased members. The Rev. Jack Pettis of Mount Zion Baptist Church will be the speaker. There also will be a 50-50 raffle. New members are welcome. Report illnesses or deaths to Evelyn Jenkins at 330-530-2734. At 11 a.m. Saturday a Columbiana Coach bus will leave the Walmart parking lot on Belmont Avenue at the south entrance on Goldie Road and will travel to Karamu Theater in Cleveland to see “God’s Trombones.”
• Coitsville Seniors will meet at 12:30 p.m. Thursday at Bedford Trails Golf Course Restaurant on Bedford Road in Coitsville. Members will order their meal from the menu. Jane Orlo will preside. Devotions will be given by Sandy Morilli. May birthdays and anniversaries will be acknowledged. A 50-50 drawing will take place and card bingo will follow.
• Croatian Pensioners will meet at noon Thursday at St. George Croatian Center, 3200 Vestal Road, Youngstown. After the board meets at 11 a.m. Founders day will be celebrated and cards and bingo will be played. New members are welcome.
• Girard OldTimers will meet at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Lamancusa Restaurant, Trumbull Road, Girard.
• Holy Family Seniors will meet at 11:30 a.m. Monday at Holy Family Parish Center, 2729 Center Road, Poland. A catered lunch will be provided to members. The cost is $5 each payable at the meeting. Anyone who has not paid the $10 annual dues may do so at this meeting. • Keenagers of Third Baptist Church, 1177 Park Hill Drive, Youngstown, will meet at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church and will discuss the June luncheon meeting. The annual trip to Hartville will be July 21.
• Liberty 55 Plus Club will meet at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at First Christian Assembly Church on Cardinal Drive for its annual Mother’s Day meeting. LeeAnn Martyak will preside, and hostesses will be Betty Sferra, Rosie Sferra and Louise Leone. Cards will be played and May birthdays will be acknowledged.
• OBES Retirees will meet for lunch at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Perkins Restaurant on Route 224, Boardman. All OBES retirees are welcome.
• S.O.A.R. Chapter 1-28-10, Retirees of Local 2243 U.S.W.A. Copperweld Steel Co., will meet at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Windsor House, 235 Champion Ave. E. Speaker will be Roger Samuelson, Champion school board member. Refreshments will be served. At 1 p.m. Friday the chapter has been chosen to see how the Chevy Cruse is built in Lordstown. Be there by 12:30 p.m.
