REALTY

Real Living Volpini Realty Group recently announced that Jason Farulla joined the company as a new associate.

Farulla earned his real-estate training from the Nevada School of Real Estate in 2002 and then attended Hondros in 2014 to update his license for Ohio. He also earned his insurance license through the Nevada School of Insurance in 2007. Besides 14 years in real estate, he also has experience working in gaming surveillance in Las Vegas.

Farulla is a member of the National Association of Realtors, the Ohio Association of Realtors and the Youngstown Columbiana Association of Realtors. From 2003 to 2007, he received the 100 percent Club sales award for more than $100,000 in commission while working at ReMax in Nevada.

LAW

Kastner Westman & Wilkins LLC, a boutique labor and employment law firm representing management exclusively, hired Canfield native and Austintown resident Karly B. Johnson as an associate attorney.

Johnson is a December 2015 magna cum laude graduate of the University of Akron School of Law. She was just admitted to the practice of law after passing the Ohio bar exam in February. Her practice will focus on defending employers in a wide array of employment litigation matters. She also will counsel clients on the development of human-resources policies and practices that help protect them from potential legal liability.

Johnson, a Canfield High School graduate, previously earned a bachelor’s degree, cum laude, from Kent State University.

Local shipping store Send It Packin’ of Austintown has been honored as an Excellence Certified Gold Store by the Association of Mail and Business Centers. AMBC-certified stores are considered to be the best independent shipping businesses in the country.

FINANCE

Joel D. Matthews, a private wealth adviser with Amerprise Financial in Canfield, has qualified for the company’s “Circle of Success” annual recognition program and will be honored for the achievement this year.

To earn the achievement, Matthews established himself as one of the company’s top advisers by consistently demonstrating exceptional commitment to financial planning and superior client service.

CHAMBER

The Shenango Valley Chamber of Commerce recently announced Sherris Moreira as the chamber’s new executive director. She will begin her duties in early June.

Moreira, a native of both New York City and New Wilmington, Pa., is coming from her role as the director of group tourism for the Pittsburgh Transportation Group.

BANKING

The board of Huntington Bancshares Inc. has unanimously elected retired National Security Agency Deputy Director Chris Inglis to its board.

A three-decade U.S. military cybersecurity professional, Inglis served in London as the U.S. government’s senior liaison to NSA’s British counterpart from 2003 to 2006 and as NSA deputy director from 2006 to 2014 under the Bush and Obama administrations. As deputy director, he served as the senior civilian and chief operating officer for the Department of Defense intelligence agency.
