Girl Scouts mark adult achievements


INDEPENDENCE, OHIO

Girl Scouts of North East Ohio and its board of directors celebrated the commitment and achievements of several adult volunteers who dedicate their time to help develop girls of courage, confidence, and character in the Girl Scout Program at the 2016 Adult Recognition Ceremony. The ceremony took place April 26 at Holiday Inn Cleveland-South in Independence.

Volunteer opportunities include troop leader, program facilitator, service unit director, event chairperson or committee member, Girl Scout Leadership Experience Coach or board member.

A total of 88 adult volunteers received awards at the 2016 Adult Recognition Ceremony. Local recipients were: appreciation pins, Kathlene Anerino and Trisha Mullen, both of Warren; Erin Hampton, Newton Falls; Diana Pethtel, Wellsville; Crystal Siembida Boggs, Columbiana; and Ryan Williams, Niles; forever green award, Bene Loomis of Warren; thanks badge, Carol Williams of Warren; and president’s award, Williams, Niles.
