The Better Business Bureau serving Columbiana, Mahoning and Trumbull counties will have the Torch Awards for Marketplace Trust on June 8 at The Lake Club, 1140 Paulin Road. The event celebrates BBB Accredited Businesses and leaders that exemplify BBB Standards for Trust.

This year’s winners are: Hickey Metal Fabrication; MS Consultants Inc.; M7 Technologies; Jensen Lock & Alarm; the Butler Institute of American Art; and Youngstown State University President Jim Tressel.

Columbiana chamber to have business showcase

COLUMBIANA

The Columbiana Area Chamber of Commerce invites residents and business owners to attend the Business Showcase on Wednesday at Town Center, Firestone Farms, located at the corner of state Routes 7 and 14.

Athena Wise Girls

SHARON, Pa.

The Athena Wise Girls event in Sharon will be from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 15 at Penn State Shenango, 147 Shenango Ave.

The event is open to girls age 14 to 18.

The event will feature discussion on women’s health, sports injuries, bullying, fitness, mental health, ethical behavior, social media smarts and leadership on college applications.
