Fizek 5K Glow Run scheduled for May 21

The second annual Fizek 5K Glow Run will be May 21 with a 10 p.m. start. The event is presented by Fizek Fitness and Eastwood Mall and is a 5-kilometer race around the mall complex, Youngstown-Warren Road and state Route 46.

Fireworks will be at 9:05 p.m. followed by music from Michael Thomas Entertainment. Runners are encouraged to wear black, and Fizek will provide glow sticks, glow paint and other glow gear.

The top three male and female finishers will receive prizes. Food and drink will be provided for an after party. It will support the Niles Fraternal Order of Police.

Participants should register at www.fizek.net for a cost of $30 per person through Wednesday. Paper registration is available at Fizek Fitness for $35 until 9 p.m. race day.
