YWCA dance-a-thon is today

YOUNGSTOWN

The YWCA of Youngs-town, 25 W. Rayen Ave., will host its second dance-a-thon fundraiser to benefit YWCA programs for women and families from 4 to 8 p.m. today.

Food will be available to buy from the Big Green Food Truck.

The event includes door prizes, music, goodie bags, refreshments and basket raffles.

There will be four 45-minute nonstop dance sessions interspersed with performances by professional and cultural dance groups.

Participants can sign up as team captains and form their own teams. Two or more people make a team. The team captain must be 18 or older, but the event is open to children 8 and older. Individuals and spectators are welcome.

Dance groups interested in performing during a break are encouraged to sign up.

The cost for team captains and team members is $15 per person, individual registration is $20, and the spectator fee is $8.

No alcohol or tobacco products are permitted, and participants should wear comfortable shoes.

Walk-ins are welcome. Parking is available in the YWCA lot and at the Youngstown school board parking lot on Wood Street.
