Bland-Papiernik engagement is announced

YOUNGSTOWN

Robert and Marsha Bland of Youngstown are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Heather Bland and Alexander Papiernik, both of Carnegie, Pa.

The future groom’s parents are Alex and Carla Papiernik of Mineral Ridge.

Invitations will be issued for the wedding ceremony Aug. 12 at West End Elliot Overlook in Pittsburgh and for a reception at LaFayette Room, North Fayette, Pa.

The bride-elect earned a bachelor’s degree in arts in communication and a master’s degree in education/student affairs and leadership. She is employed as an executive assistant to the vice president of supplier relations and the vice president of e-Commerce at WESCO Distribution in Pittsburgh.

The prospective groom earned an associate degree in information technology from ITT Technical School. He is employed as a network engineer for Ideal Integrations, West Mifflin, Pa. He is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and served more than four years as a tactical data networking specialist with the second battalion, third Marine division. He achieved the rank of sergeant, served as combat support in Afghanistan and was stationed in Hawaii for three years.
