Police: Avoid Oak Street at Madison Avenue Expressway after accident

YOUNGSTOWN — A police spokesman said traffic is tied up at Oak Street and the Madison Avenue Expressway following a multi-vehicle accident there about 3:55 p.m.

The spokesman said he is waiting for details but the accident happened in the eastbound lanes of the expressway.

Although the road is not shut down, the spokesman said traffic is backed up and he advised motorists to avoid the area.
