Vertical Runner will host kids’ camp

Vertical Runner of McDonald will host a kids’ trail running camp for ages 8 to 14. The camp will run for six weeks and will include training in endurance, trail running, activities and games and weekly themes.

The camp begins June 14 and will meet from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays with a Kids Camp 2-mile trail event and family picnic set for 6 p.m. July 21.

The following parks will participate: Stevens Park, Niles; Girard-Liberty Memorial Park, Girard; and Woodland Park, McDonald.

Registration forms are available at verticalrunnermcdonald.com or in the store, 241 E. Marshall Road, McDonald. Registration deadline is May 22.

The fee is $40 per camper; $30 per child for families with 2 or more participating. Each camper will receive a Vertical Runner Kids Trail running camp T-shirt and other gear.
