Mahoning County grand jury indicts 36
YOUNGSTOWN — A Mahoning County grand jury Thursday indicted 36 people including Bernard Barnes on a direct presentment on charges of aggravated murder and discharge of a firearm on or near prohibited premises with firearm specifications for the death of Kenneth Evans.
Reports say Evans was found shot in the stomach about 10 p.m. May 6 in the 1900 block of Manhattan Avenue and he died of his wounds a few hours later. Barnes was arrested about the same time Evans died without incident at a home on West LaClede Avenue.
