Struthers mayor to apply for ODNR grant

STRUTHERS — City council authorized the mayor tonight to apply for a grant from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.

If the city received the funding available through the state’s Nature Works program, it would cover about $22,000 of $29,000 in improvements, including benches and walkways, at the city’s Northside Gateway Greenspace.

Additionally, council approved a $150 Memorial Day donation to the local Veterans of Foreign Wars post. The donation will come from the city’s general fund.
