Dinner will benefit cancer patient

AUSTINTOWN

The Carmela Lippiello Jones Benefit Dinner will take place from noon to 4 p.m. May 22 at the Austintown Senior Center, 100 Westchester Drive.

Proceeds from the event will help support the medical needs of Jones, an Austintown resident who was diagnosed with advanced breast cancer in November 2014.

The public is invited to a pasta dinner, dine in or carryout.

Prizes will be available at a silent auction. There also will be a basket auction and a 50-50 raffle.

The event costs $10 for adults and $5 for children.

In addition to the dinner, supporters have set up a GoFundMe account www.gofundme.com/gft4ym8c, where visitors can read Jones’ story and make contributions. The Carmela Jones Fund also has been established at First National Bank; donations can be made at any branch.
