City woman faces charges after being treated for OD

YOUNGSTOWN — A woman was arrested late Thursday on charges of possession of heroin and possession of drug abuse instruments after she was treated for an overdose at a 3600 Southern Boulevard apartment.

Reports said police were called there about 10:20 p.m. to assist paramedics who were treating Dionna Bennett, 26, of Wychwood Lane. Reports said a man in the apartment let Bennett use his bathroom and after she didn’t come out for 15 minutes he went to check on her and found her passed out on the floor.

Reports said police found a needle and a spoon with suspected heroin residue.
