16 apply for vacant Mill Creek MetroParks board seats
YOUNGSTOWN — A selection committee soon will begin reviewing the 16 candidates who applied to fill two vacant seats on the Mill Creek MetroParks Board of Park Commissioners.
The 10-person selection committee, which recently was empaneled by Mahoning County Probate Judge Robert N. Rusu Jr. (the appointing authority for the park board) to help him select board members, will meet May 19 to review applications. The committee has until May 27 to forward the applications of several recommended candidates to the judge for consideration.
Those who applied to sit on the five-member park board (which has two open seats due to recent resignations) are:
