The Raiders (15-10) advanced with a sectional win over United (5-16). Travis Baxter got the win, pitching 61/3 innings while also smacking a double and picking up two RBIs. Jared Bajerski also added a double and two RBIs. Nathan Mikell had three hits to lead United.
Newton Falls 6, Mineral Ridge 1
NEWTON FALLS
Dylan McAvoy threw a complete game, striking out five and walking none and Newton Falls moved on in postseason play. J.J. Nicholas racked up three hits and two RBIs while Nate Harrah and Hayden Sherwood had two hits apiece. Harrah and Benny Koontz each had a double.

Canfield 5, Akron SVSM 3 9 innings
AKRON
The Cardinals forced extra innings in the seventh inning when Luke Kelty singled home Anthony Vross. Canfield took the lead in the ninth when Ian McGraw’s single drove home Alex Thompson and Angelo Petracci singled in Pete Hernandez. Thompson got the win with three hitless innings of relief, striking out three. He also had two hits and two RBIs. Petracci had three hits, including a double.

CHESTERLAND
The Tigers pushed across five runs in the fifth to end the game early. Craig Lewis went 3 for 4 with two runs and two RBIs while on the mound, Frank Rappach allowed just two hits, striking out six and walking two, picking up the win. Nick Badanjek also went 2 for 3 with two runs scored.
Ursuline 4, Akron Hoban 3
AKRON
Alex Schlosser pitched six innings for the win striking out three and walking one while also going 2 for 3 from the plate with a double and one RBI. Logan Pullin hit a two-run homer and Drew Potesta slugged a solo shot for Ursuline (15-8). Chris Patton also had three hits and came on in the seventh for the save.
Struthers 6, Hubbard 5
STRUTHERS
Struthers trailed 5-2 in the fifth, scored three to tie the game and then pushed across one in the seventh for the walk-off win. Jake Kriebel hit an RBI single to plate Mason Morell for the winning run. Kriebel went 3 for 4 with two RBIs and a double. Brett Lopuchovsky went 2 for 4 with a triple and two RBIs for Hubbard.
Boardman 12, Girard 2
BOARDMAN
A trio of Spartan pitchers limited Girard (10-13) to three hits in a run-ruled victory. Boardman (13-10) trailed 2-1 before erupting for six in the fourth and four in the sixth to end the game. Drew Wagner had two hits, a double and three runs scored while Dom Stilliama had two hits and a double.

NILES
Coltin Wilber had three hits and three RBIs while Brandon Reinke had two hits and scored three times for the Falcons. Geno Barricella, Garrett Pitts, Damien Coleman and Tre Martin each had two hits for the Red Dragons.

POLAND
Eric White powered the Bulldogs’ offense with three hits and two RBIs. Anthony Calcagni had two hits and Nick Oetrolla scored twice. For Mohawk, Vincent Retort’s two hits included a double and he scored a run.

Dom Velasquez had the game-winning hit in the bottom of the seventh inning as Walker Marlowe scored to end the game for the Blue Devils (17-4). Jeep DiCioccio had three hits while Velasquez and Ryan Demsky each had two. For the Bulldogs, Anthony Silvester and Jim Depizzo each had two hits while Jackson Gagne doubled.

Bryan Leipply hit a grand slam for the Mustangs (16-4). Dan Canter’s three hits included two doubles. Chris Ritz had two hits while Bryan Oatridge doubled. For the Blue Devils, Nate Ifft had two hits.

T.J. DeShields homered and doubled to drive in three runs for the Warriors (12-13, 6-7) Northeastern Buckeye Conference). Hunter Steele had three hits and two RBIs while Brant Alazaus had two hits and two RBIs. Seth Schroeder scored three runs and had two hits. Alazaus and Gino Sabatino combined on the two-hit shutout. For Canton South (8-13, 7-6), Silas Snyder had two hits.

AUSTINTOWN
Kayla Kelty’s four hits included a triple and she drove in two runs for the Falcons (12-11). Christina Tucker’s two hits included a triple and she drove in a run. Alex Franken and Maddie Everhart each had two hits including a double. Franken drove in two runs as did Ashia Walker-Forest who had three hits. For the Raiders (3-19), Caitlyn Emch hit a RBI double and Talayshah Harris had two hits and one RBI.

Megan Ross was everywhere on offense, racking up three hits including a triple, and three stolen bases while scoring twice. Jordyn Kenneally picked up the win in relief, striking out three. Mariah Hoff had two hits for the Mustangs while Meredith Grimes doubled.

BOARDMAN
Morgan Kist pitched six strong innings for Hubbard, allowing two hits, striking out five and allowing just one walk. Addy Jarvis had both RBIs on a single in the fifth that scored Sydney Newell and Athena Smith. Annie Zagorec went 3 for 4 with a double. Lauren Gabriele went 2 for 3 for Boardman.

Audrey Schweers doubled and drove in three runs for the Bulldogs. Kristyn Svetlak, Kat Wilson and Harley Kish each had two hits. Svetlak tossed a six-hitter, striking out four and walking two. For the Tigers, Sara Price’s two hits included a double and she drove in a run.

McKenzie Zigmont struck out seven and allowed just five hits in a complete game effort for Champion (21-4). Abby White and Gabby Hollenbaugh each had three hits for the Golden Flashes, while Zigmont also had three RBIs. Haley Davies and Skyler Gilany each had two hits for LaBrae (13-7).

Allie Longo had nine strikeouts while Allie Adler paced the Leopards offense with three hits. Amy Mikulich, Samantha Serrano and Morgan Orr also all had two hits.

Springfield’s leading hitters were Lindsey Druschel and Makenzy Capoullez with a single and a double each. Druschel also drove in three runs. Josie Applegarth picked up the win for the Tigers (13-9), allowing two hits, striking out eight and walking two.

Lowellville downed Valley Christian behind seven strong innings from Isabella Sotler. She struck out 13 and allowed just five hits and one earned run. Olivia Sotler homered and hit a two-run double, while second baseman Sabrina Torres recorded two diving plays in a strong defensive effort.

Maddie Myers homered for the Dukes and Erica Robinson’s three hits included a double. For the Quakers, Bailee Thorn had two hits.
