Traffic stop yields cash, pills

YOUNGSTOWN — Police found $3,400 cash and 71 pills on a man early today during a traffic stop.

Michael Williams, 31, of Mistletoe Avenue, is expected to be arraigned this afternoon in municipal court on charges of trafficking in drugs and possession of drugs.

Reports said he was a passenger in a car that was pulled over just after midnight at Hillman and West Florida avenues for having no license plate light.

Reports said the driver of the car has a suspended license and police found the pills and money on Williams when he was searched. He is in the Mahoning County jail awaiting his arraignment.

The driver of the car was cited for driving under suspension and released at the scene.
