Kenny Rogers coming to Stambaugh Auditorium


YOUNGSTOWN — Kenny Rogers will return to the Mahoning Valley on Sept. 15 when he brings his final world tour to Stambaugh Auditorium.

The Gambler’s Last Deal tour, with special guest Linda Davis, will be the final one for the Country Music Hall of Famer, whose career spans nearly six decades. Tickets are $60, $55, $50 and $45 (plus $5 service fee per ticket) and go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. at the box office (9 a.m. to 6 p.m. week days; 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays), online at stambaughauditorium.com and by phone at 330-259-0555.

Rogers has had 24 No. 1 hits in his career, including “The Gambler,” “Lucille,” “Coward of the County,” “Ruby, Don’t Take Your Love to Town,” “Lady” and “We’ve Got Tonight.”

His other accolades include three Grammy Awards, 19 American Music Awards, 11 People’s Choice Awards, eight Academy of Country Music Awards, six Country Music Association Awards, CMA’s Lifetime Achievement Award (2013), and the CMT Artist of a Lifetime Award (2015).

Rogers has performed in the Mahoning Valley several times, most recently a December 2013 concert at Packard Music Hall in Warren.

Of his final tour, Rogers said “I’ve been so lucky to have enjoyed such a long career and to have such amazing support from my fans and all who have helped me along the way, but there comes a time when I need to focus on spending time with my family.”
