New Wilmington marketplace named “most amazing”

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa.

The Fresh Marketplace at New Wilmington Center was recognized in the top five “Most Amazing Farmers Markets to Visit in Pennsylvania,” according to Only in Your State.

“We decided to get a jump on the seasonal markets by taking a peek at some of the favorites that are opening up soon so we can mark our calendars early,” said Meg Archer, an Only in Your State writer.

According to the website, Only in Your State is visited by 30 million people per month and “takes a fun, informal approach to helping readers discover things to do in each of the 50 states.”

Some other farmers markets included in the list were from Harrisburg, Hellam, Shrewsbury, Scranton, Erie and Lancaster.

This year, Fresh Marketplace, 129 Chestnut St., behind Mugsies Coffee, will open for the season from 4 to 7 p.m. May 19.
