$1M bond for man accused in weekend shooting death

YOUNGSTOWN — Judge Robert Milich today set bond at $1 million for Bernard Barnes, 57, who is accused of the murder of Kenneth Evans, also 57, who died early Saturday morning.

Police said Evans was shot Friday in the 1900 block of Manhattan Avenue after the two argued over a woman.

Evans was shot in the stomach and died a few hours later at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital.
