CEO public forum set for Wednesday
Staff report
YOUNGSTOWN
The Youngstown City School District Academic Distress Commission will stage a public forum at 5 p.m. Wednesday to gather input on the selection of a chief executive officer for the school district.
The forum will take place at Choffin Career & Technical Center, 200 E. Wood St.
Commission members want to learn from school district teachers and administrators, parents/guardians and community leaders about the qualities and characteristics they want to see in a CEO.
Turning Technologies will provide response devices to help collect information and track feedback from demographic groups attending the meeting.
The commission also plans to have the meeting webcast, allowing people to tune in on a computer or mobile device to ask questions or comment from another location.
The five-member commission will select a state-paid CEO by early June to manage and run the school district. The Mahoning County Educational Service Center is handling the search process. Wednesday is the application deadline.
