Gathering Place, sponsored by Lord of Life Church, Canfield, will meet at 11 a.m. Monday at Canfield Library, 43 W. Main St. The program will be about the services that the library provides of special interest to seniors and there will be an opportunity for a guided tour and individual exploration. Lunch will be provided. This is a free community outreach social program offered to all senior citizens on the second Monday of each month. A variety of games and activities are offered. Guardian Angels of Ohio, a volunteer program of Trumbull County Probate Court, is looking for new volunteers. Angel volunteers receive training to become advocates who reach out as friends to seniors who may need a friendly phone call, a visit in a nursing home or a visit at home. Angels also are involved in planning special events for seniors such as health fairs and Make a Difference day projects. Niles S.C.O.P.E. Senior Center and Gateway Health will present a free Lunch and Learn from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 20. The topic will be “Choosing the Proper Footwear” and will be presented by Neal Shoes, Warren. This is part of the Gateway Health “Health Awareness Series” that takes place each month at the center, 14 E. Warren S.C.O.P.E., 220 W. Market St., is hosting a free community outreach from 9:30 a.m. to noon May 19 for Warren residents. Twenty-eight agencies serving the Trumbull area will be available to answer questions. There will be a scavenger hunt with prizes and the cafe will sell lunches.
