Second Baptist Church plans community activities

Second Baptist Church, 1510 Main Ave. SW, plans a spring revival 2016 from Friday through next Sunday on the theme “Empowered to Impact our World.”

On Friday, the church, also known as “House of Hope,” will host a free community pasta dinner at 5 p.m. followed by a 7 p.m. worship service featuring guest speaker Bishop Joey Johnson, founder and pastor of The House of The Lord in Akron. Guest musical group will be Purpose Driven Music.

On Saturday, the Brotherhood Ministry will sponsor a community cleanup from 9 a.m. to noon. A service at 7 p.m. will feature guest speaker the Rev. Christopher McKee of Tabernacle Baptist Church in Youngstown. Soloist will be Janis Jones.

The Rev. Todd Johnson will be the speaker at 10:15 a.m. next Sunday with guest recording artist, Gail Nevels-Stringer. That service will be followed by a community outreach day with free games, activities, face-painting, bounce houses, and snacks will be provided.

All events open to the public. Host pastor is the Rev. Mr. Johnson.
