Vice squad investigating drug activity served search warrants at two homes

Members of the vice squad investigating drug activity served search warrants at two homes Wednesday.

About 5 p.m. at a 1128 Ivanhoe Ave. home, police found a semiautomatic handgun as well as two spoons with suspected heroin residue.

Taken into custody there on misdemeanor drug charges were Carlisha Hammonds, 21; Jessica Quick, 24; and Joseph DiGiacomo, 28. Reports showed all three listed the home as their address.

About an hour later at a 692 Delaware Ave. home, police found a heroin press, a bag of suspected crack cocaine, what was termed a “rock” of suspected heroin, and a bag of suspected marijuana.

In a car that was driving away from the home and pulled over, police found five bags of suspected crack cocaine, a bag of suspected marijuana and a bag of suspected heroin, as well as $670 cash on Deondre Hill, 21, of East Ravenwood Avenue. He was arrested on charges of possession of heroin and possession of crack cocaine.

Also arrested on charges of possession of heroin and possession of crack cocaine was Tyeisha Burney, 27, who lists the home as her address. Issued citations on drug charges were Mark Burney, 29, who also lists the home as his address, and Reese Williams, 35, of Burlington Avenue.
